HISD DANCE CONNECT FILM FEST
Frame Dance Productions and Frame x Frame Film Fest are proud to offer a film festival showcasing the talents of HISD student dancers and filmmakers. All HISD middle and high school are eligible to submit films to the festival where they are adjudicated and awards are given in the categories of:
“This film means a lot to me because it took a lot of courage to participate in this project and express myself to the public. I have never been put into such a vulnerable position when it comes to dancing, which is why this is a very important project for me. Alongside the dancing, the audio for the film is a spoken word piece which I wrote about my experience. The words and the dance are both very meaningful to me because by doing this project I am able to show my growth from a very insecure dancer to a person who is ready to conquer it all.

SUBMIT A FILM: RESOURCES & GUIDELINES
Frame x Frame is open to films that explore the relationship of the moving body and the camera. Films will be selected based on the quality of the image, sound, and the choreography of the body as well as the camera. We have a particular interest in innovative use of space and the choreography’s relationship to music.
We accept work from filmmakers as young as middle school, through college students. Graduate students, please submit under the professional category.
