In addition to our classes, we offer a variety of creative workshops, perform in unexpected venues around town, and host an annual screendance festival that pushes the boundaries of multidisciplinary artistic expression.

FINDING LENGTH: A SOMATIC AWARENESS WORKSHOP

In this workshop, participants will explore deeper somatic awareness through dynamic range of movement and gentle myofascial manipulation. Participants will take away tools for connecting to their breath with a repeatable movement sequence to help with tactile awareness, spinal freedom, and joint mobility to achieve greater range of motion and ease. With expert knowledge Alisa approaches each session with guided visualization making this workshop accessible for all bodies. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one!

This experiential workshop will dive deeper into The Patterns of Total Body Connectivity, allowing participants the opportunity to explore connectivity within their own bodies, and utilize it for greater functionality and expression through movement.

Frame x Frame Film Fest brings the best screen dance from across the globe to Houston. At the intersection of film and dance, this genre is on the forefront of innovation and storytelling in dance.
From Argentina to Ghana and Singapore to Bulgaria, Frame x Frame Film Fest (FXF) has featured hundreds of artists from more than twenty different countries over the past five years. From low-budget/high impact work like Einy Am-Spars (Norway) and Kay Collymore (Houston/UK) to the superstars of the screen dance world like the Hong Kong Ballet and Australasian Dance Collective, FXF presents internationally acclaimed artists alongside homegrown Houston artists in a powerfully eclectic festival of screen dance.
